ENA’s world leading Open Networks programme is hosting a webinar on 8 March 2022 at 2pm which will initiate the start of the consultation period on the next updates to the tool, with the closing date on Friday 8 April 2022 at 5pm. Hear from the product leads about these updates and share your thoughts and feedback. Speakers: Simon Brooke, ED2 DSO Business Plan lead, Electricity North West Chris P. Collins, Senior Manager, Baringa Partners More information • ENA’s world leading Open Networks programme developed the Common Evaluation Methodology (CEM) in 2020 for evaluating flexibility services against network reinforcement to assess the merits of deferring or avoiding the reinforcement. A modelling Tool was created, using the methodology, and the DNOs started using the CEM Tool for evaluating flexibility services tenders from April 2021. • The CEM and Tool was further revised in December 2021, following stakeholder feedback, incorporating two more areas of development for 1) Carbon Impact Assessment and 2) Option valuation. • Further methods have been identified as potential approaches to valuing optionality of flexibility services. The Open Networks team are seeking feedback from stakeholders on the current changes to the CEM and Tool and particularly the merits of taking forward into development one of these methods for valuing optionality. Please note, all data you provide through pre-registration will be shared with our webinar partners once you have viewed the webinar.
