GoPay, Indonesia's top e-wallet provider, partnered with Google Cloud and Intel's Software Center of Excellence to enhance their Barito logging platform. Facing transaction bottlenecks, the Intel team recommended strategies to reduce CPU usage and boost throughput, such as tweaking Prometheus scraping intervals and testing Barito on Google Cloud's N2 instances powered by 3rd Gen Intel Xeon CPUs. These changes led to a 15% increase in throughput on current instances and 87% more responses per second on N2 instances, enabling GoPay to expand capacity without extra costs.
