POST-QUANTUM CRYPTOGRAPHY RESULTS FROM PONEMON'S GLOBAL STUDY ON QUANTUM PREPAREDNESS

The advent of quantum computing poses a serious threat to today's encryption technologies. A recent Ponemon Institute study shows most IT professionals are aware of these threats but face challenges in transitioning to post-quantum cryptography (PQC).

Key findings:

61% of IT professionals fear their organization won't be prepared for quantum threats
74% worry about "Harvest Now, Decrypt Later" attacks
51% cite lack of resources as the biggest roadblock
Only 23% have a strategy for quantum threats
