Wyoming Department of Family Services and Deloitte modernize by migrating mainframe applications to AWS
The Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS) modernized its 35-year-old mainframe-based system by migrating to Amazon Web Services (AWS) with help from Deloitte. Using Deloitte's innoWake automated refactoring solution, the migration was completed in 16 months, resulting in:
· Enhanced system responsiveness and flexibility
· 20% increase in operational efficiency
· Improved service delivery for financial assistance programs
· Ability to deploy new features within days
The modernization converted legacy applications to .NET and SQL Server, leveraging AWS services like EC2 and S3. This has allowed Wyoming DFS to reallocate funding toward modernization projects and focus more on engaging with families.
