  • A path to smart, not just present, video conferencing

As businesses of all sizes continue to plan recover from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the responses to the new normal or the next normal seem to vary according to the size of the organization. For example, while large enterprise seem to be planning for a working environment with more people returning to the office from remote working than was the case in March and April; for smaller business the opposite has been true. SMBs have profited from remote working and look set to do so.

Fundamentally though, business in general now expect their employers to offer a modern blended approach to how and where they work. They are expecting their firms to invest in technology that will meet the workplace requirements of the future. And now that companies are evolving from business continuity to strategic planning in a post-Covid world, old ways of working can no longer be the norm; the new one or the next one. It won’t be enough for businesses to simply get by with equipment and processes that are not fit for purposes. And wherever staff will be based, right at the heart of the new working environment will be video conferencing.
